Certified and Trained Across Three Disciplines

Suzanne C. Staley, ISA CAPP, is certified by the International Society of Appraisers in Fine and Decorative Art and trained in Residential Contents through the ISA ARC program. She received CAPP certification, ISA's highest credential, in 1995, qualifying her for all federal tax-function appraisals: estates, charitable donations, trusts, and bankruptcy.

Before certification she owned a folk art company specializing in Mexico and South America, represented Butterfield and Butterfield Auctioneers in Texas, and worked in the fine and decorative arts in Italy and New York.

She lived and worked in Italy for four years studying antiques and the decorative arts, and her years in Santa Fe ground her knowledge of the Southwest.

She holds a Bachelor of Humanities, is past president of the ISA Gulf Coast Chapter, and serves on the ISA Fine Art Committee.

Active in Houston's Arts Community

Suzanne is a former docent of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and has been active in the Houston arts and antiques community for over thirty years, speaking, writing, and participating in appraisal days for local non-profits.

She remains conversant with the international auction industry and is a colleague of the online auction firm iGavel.

Suzanne has appraised the complete contents of Christ Church Cathedral twice. The work covered everything used in the service: the high altar, communion silver, vestments, altar cloths, and needlepoint textiles.

She keeps current on ecclesiastical material to serve other churches with the same care.
