1. Who we are
This website, suzannestaley.com, is operated by Staley Appraisal Corporation ("we", "us"), the appraisal practice of Suzanne C. Staley, ISA CAPP, serving clients in Texas and New Mexico. This policy explains what information we collect through the website and in the course of responding to you, and how we use it.
2. Information you give us
When you use the appraisal request form, we receive the name, email address or phone number, and description of your items that you enter. When you call or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share in that conversation. We do not ask for payment details, Social Security numbers, or account numbers through this website, and you should not send them.
3. How we use it
We use what you send to reply to you, to discuss whether an appraisal fits your situation, and to schedule and prepare any appraisal you engage us for. We keep a record of our correspondence as part of our business files. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
4. Service providers
The website is hosted by Netlify, which also receives and stores contact form submissions on our behalf. Its content is managed through Vantada. Like any web host, Netlify keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to operate and secure the site. These providers handle information only to provide their services to us.
5. Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or tracking pixels, and it does not load fonts or scripts from third-party services for visitors. If that changes, we will update this policy before it does.
6. Confidentiality of appraisal work
Information about your property, its value, and your reasons for an appraisal, gathered during an engagement, is kept confidential in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the ethics requirements of the International Society of Appraisers. We disclose it only to you, to parties you authorize, or as required by law.
7. How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and to maintain our business records. Appraisal workfiles are retained for the period that USPAP requires.
8. Your choices
You may ask to see the information you have sent us, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond promptly.
9. Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
